With the magnificent Himalayas acting as the perfect backdrop, pick up a pair of tracks and get that backpack ready! Head out for an unexpected adventure and enjoy a trip of your life as you explore, network and navigate through gorgeous terrains of the north.

Find yourselves encircled by gorgeous snow-capped mountains of the Dhauladhar Range at Triund this summer! A 4 – 5-hour trek from Dharamsala city itself, Triund is definitely one of the popular trekking spots simply because of its grandeur and appeal.

As soon as you reach the base camp, you are in awe of the view because on one side – it’s the unparalleled beauty of the Dhauladhar Range and on the other side - is the lush green valleys of Kangra.

The trek to the base camp is the best part and it’s a lot more fun when you have a bunch of friends tagging along with you. Instead of rushing to get to the top, the best way to enjoy the whole trek is to ensure that you stop along the way at some of the places to just stand and stare and absorb the beauty around you because it’s simply breathtaking. It’s not so tough as well if you think you are not quite the trekking kinds!

Stay the night at Triund for some of the most spectacular star trails and also to experience the teeth-chattering cold in your colourful tents. Wake up to a gorgeous sunset and head back to Dharamsala.

Situated amidst the gigantic range of Himalayas, this cold mountain valley literally translates as “The Middle Land” and is an absolute delight for trekking enthusiasts. You’ll find one of the oldest monasteries of the world right here. If you are not much of a trekking fan, then you can definitely hit the road and make it a backpacking road-trip with a bunch of your friends.

While the cold winds from the mountains caress you off your worries, you can just let go and enjoy the creation of nature while you are out in the wilderness.

An ancient village belonging to the rich adventurous state of Himachal Pradesh, Malana has been kept a secret by the shadowing peaks. The trek to Malana over Chandrakani Pass follows quite a treacherous route but worth a shot for the vistas that we can blindly promise you to experience from there.

If you are lucky you might also get some snow up there so definitely consider Malana.

Up for a little effort to get the best view of Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh, head to Tosh. With Tosh Glacier flaking on one side and several peaks on the other, this is a must for all trekking enthusiasts.

On the trek, you’ll tend to graze through gorgeous meadows and streams, which will make you, fall in love with the place and not want to go back. Tosh is basically like a picture that you would probably find landscape pictures on your laptop.

And that’s our list of favourite trails up north! Hit these places up for a summer respite because when the going gets tough, all you gotta do is make a dash for it.
